Born to a heritage of both art and horses, Biegel studied with Lucy Kemp-Welch and, after being wounded in Normandy during World War II, at Bournemouth School of Art. An accidental meeting with Lionel Edwards led to his being Edwards’ pupil. His paintings are full of accurate action and life.
