Philip Eustace Stretton

(British, 1865-1919)

Stretton was a British animal and sporting painter who worked from 1882 until his death. He painted in oils and watercolor, and his work was exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1884 to 1904. He was a follower of Sir Edwin Landseer, whose animal paintings had an enormous impact upon the artist.
