Randall Davey

(American, 1887-1964)

Randall Davey studied architecture at Cornell University in 1905 and art at the New York School of Art in 1908. He also studied under art academics Robert Henri and Charles W. Hawthorne. He became Henri’s assistant instructor and traveled through Europe with him. By 1919 Davey and his wife had moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he established his studio. Due to the expense of his polo hobby, Davey took numerous positions at major art institutes across the country. His works are collected by major museums nationwide.
