Simon Erland(British, b. 1961)
A British sculptor, Erland is known for creating figurative pieces whose subjects revolve around horses and matadors. Erland began by sculpting clay horses; drawing inspiration from his time spent in his early years competitively equestrian riding. Later in life, after visiting Spain, Erland’s works shifted to focus on the matador and bull, his work exploring the relationship between man and life.
