S. senator, and father of William Randolph Hearst. He won the Great Eastern Handicap at 2, and at 3 he took the Lawrence Realization Stakes, Jerome Handicap, Choice Stakes, and Omnium Handicap. He was considered the best 3-year-old male of the 1890s.
