Benjamin Sullivan was born in 1977 in Grimsby, N.E. Lincolnshire. He studied at the Grimsby College of Art and Design, and later studied painting at Edinburgh College of Art, where he received his BA with Honors. His works are found in collections of the Royal Scottish Academy and Parliament House Portraits, in Edinburgh. He was elected a member of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters in 2003, and gained entrance into the New English Art Club in 2001, both of which show his work regularly.
